  • เมืองปราสาทหิน ถิ่นภูเขาไฟ ผ้าไหมสวย รวยวัฒนธรรม

    บุรีรัมย์ เมืองแห่งความรื่นรมย์ตามความหมายของชื่อเมืองที่น่าอยู่สำหรับคนในท้องถิ่นและเป็นเมืองที่น่ามาเยือนสำหรับคนต่างถิ่น เป็นเมืองแห่งปราสาทหิน ดินแดนแห่งอารยธรรมขอมโบราณ ตั้งอยู่ในเขตภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือตอนล่าง ห่างจากกรุงเทพฯโดยทางรถยนต์ประมาณ 380 กิโลเมตร

    ในพื้นที่จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ค้นพบหลักฐานทางโบราณคดีเกี่ยวกับการอยู่อาศัยของมนุษย์มาตั้งแต่สมัยก่อนประวัติศาสตร์สมัยทวารวดี และที่สำคัญที่สุด คือ ปราสาทขอมน้อยใหญ่กว่า 60 แห่งซึ่งพบกระจายอยู่ทั่วไปอันแสดงถึงความรุ่งเรืองของบุรีรัมย์มาแต่ครั้งอดีตกาลรวมทั้งได้พบแหล่งโบราณคดีที่สำคัญ คือ เตาเผาภาชนะดินเผาสมัยขอมกำหนดอายุได้ประมาณพุทธศตวรรษที่ 15-18

    หลังจากสมัยของวัฒนธรรมขอมหรือเขมรโบราณแล้วหลักฐานทางประวัติศาสตร์ของบุรีรัมย์เริ่มมีขึ้นอีกครั้งตอนปลายสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาโดยเป็นเมืองขึ้นของนครราชสีมา และปรากฏชื่อต่อมาในสมัยกรุงธนบุรีถึงสมัยกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ โดยบุรีรัมย์มีฐานะเป็นเมืองๆ หนึ่ง จนถึง พ.ศ. 2476 ได้มีการจัดระเบียบราชการบริหารส่วนภูมิภาคใหม่จึงได้เปลี่ยนเป็นจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์มาจนถึงปัจจุบันนี้

    ปัจจุบัน การมีสนามแข่งขันกีฬาฟุตบอลและสนามแข่งรถยนต์ที่มีชื่อเสียงและได้มาตรฐานเป็นหนึ่งในจุดแข็งของจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ และเป็นปัจจัยสนับสนุนการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจระดับท้องถิ่นโดยเฉพาะด้านการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา

  • Chang International Circuit is a motorsport race track in Buriram, Thailand. The circuit was opened in 2014. This is the one and only FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A circuit in Thailand. It can accommodate up to 40,000 spectators. The track is 4.554 km in length, and its 12 corners are designed to support the highest speeds. October 2014 the circuit hosted the Buriram United Super GT race, with a crowd figure of 131,000 spectators and hundreds of media covering the event.

  • i-mobile stadium is a home stadium of Buriram United, the best football club in Thailand. The 150-acre site has a capacity of 32,600 people with parking for approximately 500 cars and 1,000 motorcycles. The pitch is floodlit and allowing for night matches. The stadium provides modern facilities and live television and radio broadcasting infrastructure.

  • Buriram Castle, as a community mall that will have a unique Dining World Zone of which more than 80% is well known restaurants; a Fashion Zone with clothing stores and motor sport apparel; a Kid-Zone including tutorial schools, a playground; a SPA and BEAUTY Zone with a Health & Wellness World; and a food court. The mall will feature local activities, events, and will be a nightlife wonderland as well as feature and fascinating Buriram History Chamber. All zones comprise a total area of 35,268 square meters (6 hectares) as a excellent support to the expansion of tourism which has come to watch football or motor racing events. Tourists will be able to shop for souvenirs developed by the Buriram brand located right at the entrance.

  • Phanom Rung Sanctuary is a Khmer temple Complex built from Sandstone in the 10th Century Located about 75 km’s from Buriram Town on the road between Nang Rong and Prakonchai. Phanom Rung was built on top of a hill which is believed to be an extinct volcanic cone , 1,320 feet above sea level. Archaeological and historical studies show that this place was originally built to worship Shiva , the Hindu God between the 10th and 13th Centuries with the bulk of the work being completed during the reign of King Suriyavaraman II.
  • Khao Kradong Forest Park is a relaxation spot on Khao Kradong which is an extinct volcano and at the present, it is a small pool which has water throughout the year. On the top of mountain, it houses ‘Phra Suphattharabophit’ — a large Buddha image that is the symbol of Buriram. There is also an ancient Prang Ku in which is located a duplicate Buddha footprint. The forest park has a lot of interesting indigenous plants under the supervision of the Wildlife Conservation Office of the Royal Forestry Department. Buriram Provincial Authorities have developed it into a major tourist spot by conserving nature and the environment in pristine condition. Numerous tourists come here on weekends.

Other

City Pillar Shrine

The City Pillar Shrine was a wooden house and topped with a corrugated metal roof. It was established at the same area as the Today’s Shrine. Later in 1969, The shrine was renovated to concrete house and the three-tiers roof with a mondop spire on the top of the roof. Mondop of this shrine had a five-tired spires. The shape of the shirne at this time was a mixture of Thai and Chinese architecture style. Renovation of the new shire had taken place in 2005 with the erection of Khmer architecture style in order to relate with Buriram Province’s identity,. The land of brickwork castles in these days.

Shiva12 Garden

“Great Shiva Linga”, which is the largest in the world and located in a green area of the city named “Garden Shiva 12”, setting the origin of the universe near Buriram Castle and set to become a new landmark and tourist attraction. Travelers from around the world will delight in taking and sharing their photos here.

Wat Pa Khao Noi

Outside the building has many fine details, and the surroundings are nicely landscaped. It was very quiet and good for meditate, but the temple is evidently in active use, because there were several houses for monks and nuns in the surroundings.

Temple in the Monastery

King Rama I Monument

was changed to “Buriram” in King Rama V’s era. Therefore, Buriram people decided to build this monument in appreciation of His Majesty’s kindness in 1995.

Lively Market

Lively Market is a community mall. In the day time there are restaurants, dessert café and shopping area. In the night time the area will full of nightclub, bar and restaurant and beer gardent.

Wat Khao Angkahn

from Prasat hin Phanom Rung..there was a discovery of an ancient archeological site and many stone boundaries of temple(Sema) in Dvaravati era. Today, it is one of the most beautiful huge temples in Buriram. The monastery, pavilion, and other buildings imitate various ages’ architecture in different styles. And inside the monastery, there is also a mural illustrated Jataka tales in English.

Muang Tam Sanctuary

Muang Tam is a stone temple located near Prakhon Chai. It’s about
Muang Tam Sanctuary is 5 km’s from Phanom Rung national park. King Jayavaraman II was responsible for this magnificent premises made up of five ancient ‘Prangs’ set around four lotus ponds and enclosed by a late rite wall.

Baan Bu Sanctuary

Baan Bu Stone Sanctuary is one of the stone sanctuaries that has been neglected for years. It is located in Pro Kone Chai district area. It was built in Khmer style. The purpose of the builder was to make it a pavilion for traveller who pass by in the ancient time.

Buddha Prakonechai Maha Ming Mongkol Statue

The world biggest Buddha statue in overspread naga style made to celebrate King Bhumibol 7th Cycle, or 84th, birthday anniversary in year 2011.

Play La Ploen

Play La Ploen has 2 main areas including the boutique resort and adventure camp, the perfect recreational area and learning center in the Northeast of Thailand. Prasard Thong Beach

Prasard Thong Beach is a man-made beach located in fron of Yuai Prasard subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO). This place is for family activity and water activity such as jogging, jetski and etc.

Wat Baan Tasao

Buddha Montol, Wad Baan Tasao is a replica of Buddha Montol in Bangkok. It’s built for those who cannot travel to Bangkok to worship the Budha Montol can come and worship here. There is a 14 metres size of Budha Statue named Samana Kodom Buddha.

Ancient Kilns

A must-visit site for archaeology enthusiasts, these ancient kilns marked among the most important pottery-making of the ancient Khmer Empire, supplying pottery to other cities during the 14-19th Buddhist century. Tao Sawai and Tao Nai Chian, the two renovated by The Fine Arts Department locate about 5 and 10 kilometers away

Huai Meka Dam

This dam is supported by Japan Government. It’s a beautiful dam. The water in this dam is for the villager’s agricultural. There are restaurants at one side of the dam. You can see a very beautiful sunset from here.

Lang Hin Tad (Stone Source)

Ancient Quarry is the site where the ancient Khmer people used to obtain rocks to build sanctuaries in the lower northeast side.

Lam Nangrong Dam

About 200 meters from the monument lies the Development for Security Project Area of H.M. the King which includes the large reservoir Lam Nang Rong and the Khlong Manao reservoir, which are used for agriculture and relaxation. Visitors can rest aboard rafts on the reservoirs, swim, take boat trips to watch flocks of Teals.

Na Pho Handicraft Center

This place is the most famous place for silk in Burirum. It was started from villager members from generation to generation and be a part of Her majesty princess Sirindhorn project. There are many kinds of fabrics such as soft silk fabrics, sarong, Kamar band and other products from silk.

Ku Suantang Pagoda

This “Ku” (Pagoda) or small khmer style stupas are located in Phutthaisong district. The stupas are built of brick and mortar. The door panels are carved showing the story of Ranmayana. The ancient Khmer style spire of square-shape foundation piled up to the top with sandstone houses an earthen Buddha image.

Ruesi Pagoda

Ku Ruesi or Ruesi Pagoda (Ruesi means anchorite) is a small pagoda built in Khmer style. There are big Buddha statue and statue of anchorite. It’s also a sanctuary that villager worship and believe that there are spirits stay inside the pagoda.

Phra Chao Yai Wat Hong

Phra Chao Yai Wat Hong is located in Phutthaisong District, it is a large and an old Lao-style Buddha image in the posture 1.6 m wide and 2 m high of subduing Mara. It was built during the late Ayutthaya period around 18th century. Every year on February, a grand celebration is held to pay homage to the image and is attended by people from nearby provinces.

Lam Pa Tia Reservoir

Lam Pa Tia is a reservoir with beautiful scenary. There are a lot of people come and visit through the year.

Wat Ra Harn

Wat Ra Harn is a place to commemorate Lord Buddha. Contemporary applied arts height is 60 feet with four floors. On Level one is used as a multi-purpose hall. Level 2 is the place to practice meditation. Level 3 is the temple museum and the statue of the priest as well, practice practice like And level  4 relics are enshrined. There are cockpit around the area.

Baan Suan Fruit and Garden

the former Minister of Thailand. This garden is following the Sufficient economy theory, the theory of King Bhumibol. It is also an example of what’s called refine agriculture and also a village green with mad-made waterfalls and stutue of animals around the garden.

Nong Bua Kok Local Museum

pieces of Prof. Worathongchai and local lifestyle of villagets in Nong Bua Kok’s Tambon. There is a restaural call “Din-Dib Café” in a museum area.
